rubber NBR O Ring seals O - ring gasket

Most commonly used general purpose molded NBR o-rings have relative low cost, good mechanical properties, and basic resistance to many common lubricants. Specific physical and chemical resistances of the NBR O-rings vary by compound formulation. The NBR O-rings can stand  in the range of -30°С  to + 100° С.

Basic NBR O-ring is not resistant to weathering and ozone without special formulation.  Hydrogenated versions of NBR (HNBR) O-rings are more resistant to temperature, chemicals, and ozone.

Features:

● Relative low cost.

Good/Excellent resistance to compression set and tear/abrasion.

Good/Excellent resistance to many petroleum oils/greases, hydraulic fluids, alcohol, ambient water, silicone greases, mineral oil and grease, di-ester base lubricants and ethylene-glycol based fluids as well as aliphatic hydrocarbons (propane, butane, diesel fuel, fuel oils).

Compatible with HFA, HFB and HFC fluids.

    Oil Resistance

Durable rubber  NBR O Ring seals

NBR O-rings are made of acrylonitrile and butadiene, Buna N, Nitrile Rubber and NBR. The acrylonitrile content of NBR compounds varies considerably (18% to 50%) and influences the physical properties of the finished material.

The higher the acrylonitrile content, the better the resistance to oil and fuel. At the same time, elasticity and compression set resistance to low temperature is adversely affected. The lower acrylonitrile content obtains, the better low temperature resistance, but at a sacrifice to some resistance to oils and fuels. In view of these opposing realities, a compromise selection is the medium acrylonitrile content rubber. NBR has good mechanical properties when compared with other elastomers and high wear resistance.

    FAQ

    1
What is the HS code for rubber tank o-ring seals?
The HS code for rubber tank o-ring seals is 401693.
    2
What is the purpose of rubber o-ring seals?
Rubber o-ring seals are designed to create a tight, leak-free seal between two or more parts, preventing fluid or gas from escaping.
    3
Where can rubber o-ring seals be used?
Rubber o-ring seals have versatile applications and can be used in various industries, such as automotive, plumbing, aerospace, and manufacturing, to seal joints, connections, or valves.
    4
How are rubber o-ring seals different from other types of gaskets?
Rubber o-ring seals are typically round or torus-shaped rubber rings, whereas other gaskets may come in different shapes and materials. O-rings offer excellent sealing properties due to their circular geometry and ability to withstand high pressures.
    5
What are some common application scenarios for rubber o-ring seals?
Rubber o-ring seals are commonly used in hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, engines, pumps, valves, and other machinery where a reliable seal is required to prevent leaks.
    6
How do you choose the right size of rubber o-ring seal? A
To select the appropriate size of rubber o-ring seal, you need to measure the inside diameter (ID), outside diameter (OD), and cross-sectional diameter (CS) of the sealing groove or the mating parts, and then match those measurements with the available o-ring sizes to ensure a proper fit and seal.
